so much is happening
Man internship is so exhausting and so fun and so horrible. I haven’t had the energy to type anything about it down, which is bad! I should so I can remember. Last week I worked evening and nights, it was super interesting! People warns that working night long term isn’t great but tbh, it was the 12 hour shifts that made it hard. Ended last week with a horrible situation which I don’t want to detail beyond a cat dying from animal abuse. It really had me more shaken than anything I’ve seen so far. Still feel exhausted from last week to be honest. But alas this week will be fun I hope! I’m at surgery and working regular hours every day!
First patient of the day was an emergency. I was still sort of out of it (it takes me a while to mentally arrive when im not used to the setting), and suddenly I hear one of the nurses yell out of the way! As she ran with a dog dripping with blood. They were like 5 people doing cpr on the poor thing while I was standing there all O-O. The doggie didn’t make it, sadly, rest in peace lil doggie :
I shall try to at least make note of interesting cases the next week so I won’t forget them all x-x
